Little Claire's Weekly Project....New Year Celebration card

Hello me lovelies

I hope you had a FABulous Christmas...we did, it was great {yay!}

Thank you to you all for the lovely message's regarding my MIL which i am pleased to say she came home just in time for Christmas {yay!!} again but with lots of meds thou and also was told to take it easy and get plenty of rest!!

I was planning to come back with a Christmas message for you all but time just slipped away and before i know it Christmas day had come and gone, then boxing day was the same...
We did a lot of visiting and got lots of pressie's so my kids had 3 Christmas days rolled into 2 days so today i am winding down and taking things a little easy while my kids are all playing with their new gadgets {3 older boys} and the youngest boy is playing with his new toys...we just have to dodge missiles been shot from his tanks and also watch out for his car speeding around on the floor so our tootsie's are out the way on the settee lol 

Anyhoo enough waffle from me and lets get on with what this post is originally about...Its my turn for the Weekly Project over at Little Claire's so i decided to share a New Year celebration card with you...a quick and easy one i might add!!

What 14 already...ya kiddin aren't ya!!

Hello me lovelies

Now behind the scene's of Gems little creations there has lots been going on but just when we thought everything was sort of getting back to normalish...we had a phone call last night from Lee's brother to say their Mum had been taken into hospital with a really bad chest infection so she has been pumped with antibiotics. Lee has spoken to his Mum this morning and the hospital informed her she has Pneumonia so they are keeping her in a little longer and thankfully they think they have caught it in time *phew* 
We are so hoping she will be at home for Christmas and if Lee's mum has her own way she will be home, she a tough cookie that one, Anyhoo please keep your fingers crossed for us!!

I do hope 2014 is going to be a better one for all my family as 2013 hasn't been a great one!!

I cannot believe it's Christmas day very soon so are you all ready for the big man in the red suit to visit...my boys are getting very excited here or is that just me...probably the later one lol
No my 3 older are just taking it in their stride and like yeah whateva...typical teens i suppose but my 3 year old cannot wait, he's counting the days down...bless his little cotton socks lol

Today though we are celebrating a birthday in our household because it's our 2nd eldest son's birthday and he has turned 14 today {yay!}...

Happy 14th Birthday Connor!!

A little bit floral....

Hello me lovelies

I am here later then i wanted to be today but i got busy doing other things last night so i couldn't schedule the post and this morning that i didn't get the chance either so i thought i will pop by tonight instead but before i get on with it...
I would like to say again to all my lovely blogging buddies...thank you from the bottom of me heart for all the kind words you all left for me regarding my uncles death and funeral, they really do mean a lot to me and i feel very blessed to have such wonderful blogging buddies *kiss*

I was suppose to be meeting with the ladies i craft with each and every week for our last craft night for Christmas but unfortunately 2 of the ladies are not well so it was best to cancel until after Christmas.
 Dawn and Pam if you read this post i hope you get better very soon ready for Christmas *hugs* but to all of you....Dawn, Pam, Ailsa and Judith & all your families I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and all the best for the New Year!!

Now today i don't have a Christmas card for you as i wanted a break from them so i decided to come up with a different design for everyday use. I have used a beautiful stamp set from Clearly Besotted called 'Fancy Florals' and the matching die set which you can find here
I have used Strawberry and chocolate combo with a little bit of kraft thrown in for good measure so here's todays creation...hope you likey :)

I am entering this card into Muse challenge and the inspiration i have taken from their card is the flowers and the pink tones from their card.

Godda love a little Christmassy Penguin...

Hello me lovelies

It's a sad day here again today as it's my uncles funeral this morning but unfortunately i can't go as my o/h has an appointment and i am looking after our little boy, my o/h tried to get out of it but he can't, not even on special circumstances because they say it's not his immediate family and if he didn't go it would affect our family and we can't afford that with it been Christmas so i have decided i am going to say my goodbye's in my own way, i am gutted because i can't be there for my family but i am sure my family will understand!!

Righto enough of me waffle...I am here today to share 2 cards with you which i have made using such a cute little stamp set from Clearly Besotted called 'Let it Snow' with the cutest little Penguin...

I went with a red, black and white theme and same layout just like my Signature Christmas card but this time I've added a little scalloped edge to it...just for a change lol

Nutcrafters Challenge #58...Snow

Hello me lovelies

Before i get on with today's post i just want to apologise for been missing again but unfortunately last Thursday my family received some devastating news that my uncle had passed away...it has hit our family really hard especially my Grandma and his son.
My heart goes out to his son {my cousin} more so now because he has no parents left as his mum died a few years back at such a young age too, luckily my cousin has a wife and little boy who will help him through this tough time plus he has all of us too!!

Right i am going to change the subject because i can feel the tears starting to flow again and i will never get this post done...

Today i am here with a Nutcrafters DT card for you as it's the start of a new challenge but our last for 2013 so this means you will have a month to enter our challenge and we will be back in January.
Our fabulous Sylvia is hosting this challenge and for her theme is...

Snow, snow everywhere!!

Signature Christmas {part 2}

Hello me lovelies

On a wednesday night me and a few friends get together to have a craft night and yeah have a good natter too...godda catch up with all the goss haven't you and we have a treat too, whether it's a glass of wine or something nice and sweet to eat...Thanks dawn you're a star and amazing host too :)

Anyhoo i was there last night and i thought i'd take some cards i made to show them which is the Signature Christmas selection i am sharing with you, they loved them and wanted to make some themselves...well i have never seen the girls make so many cards in one night before, we had a right production line going on and now i think i have created a new addiction for them...in the form of Clearly Besotted that much so they want the stamps and dies themselves :)

Watch out Steph you have an order coming on from the mad ladies of night craft group...it's not what our name is as we don't have one but it's something i call them....Sssshhh don't tell them that!!

Nutcrafters Challenge #57...Midway reminder

For my card i have for a bright and cheery Christmas card but still using red and green, i have done some dry embossing, added a little backing paper and even a tag too but the main thing is i have used bits of scraps on this card which i had in my scrap box, the only thing that wasn't from the scrap box was the card base!!
I have loved this little personal challenge i have set myself...it's gonna take a while before i get through it all but i will get there in the end lol

Signature Christmas {part 1}

Hello me lovelies

In yesterdays post i said i have some Christmas cards to share with you which includes my DT card for Nutcrafters too so today i am share {part 1} of my clean and simple Christmas cards with you which was inspired by cards i have seen on Pinterest while i was not blogging...this was well needed because i felt my mojo was starting to slip yet again due things happening here, anyhoo i think it helped because i whipped up 4 cards within about 15 minutes...yes 15 minutes...very quick for me and with a dodgy thumb too, i think i did a better job hehehehe

They are all A6 in size and all share the same simple layout but with different images and sentiments, i went for a black, red and white theme which i think is totally stunning, i know it's not traditional and it's not to everyone's taste but i love it...i am not going to share them all with you today but i will do over the next few days so here's Signature Christmas {part 1} card...hope you likey :)

'Owl always be here for you'

Hello me lovelies

How are we all?? Are we all getting excited and ready for Christmas??


It's been a little hectic in our household...just when i thought i was getting over my cold the last time i was here, nope it came back with avengence and then to top things of i sliced the top of my thumb nearly off with a pair of scissors...no joking either...lots of blood all over my DT and order cards that i just made so they had to be made all over again eeek!!
Now i know what's going through your minds...how the hell did you managed to slice your thumb with scissors.....welllll there's a lesson to be learned from my story and that's never take your eye off the ball {scissors in my case} when cleaning them...yep i was away with the fairies when cleaning, thinking of Christmas and getting all excited about all the the nice things i have planned with my children over the what i call the Christmas month...watch a Christmas movie every night, pressie shopping, Christmas baking etc 
{all exciting...Yay!!} Oh i love Christmas!!

Right i best stop waffling because i am getting a tad excited and i could talk about Christmas all night hehehe

Unfortunately today i don't have a Christmas card for you but i will have over the next few days, instead i have a little owl card for you 'Owl always be here for you'...using an adorable stamp and matching die set from Clearly Besotted called 'You're a Hoot' so without further ado here's todays creation...hope you likey :)



Update - Forgot to tell you that this card was made using scraps from my scrap box...this is a little challenge i have set myself and it's one way of getting rid of all those scraps you have left over from others cards, why not try it too!!

From our Home to Yours...

Hello me lovelies

Thank you to all me lovely craft buddies for the get well message's...i am feeling a tad better today, don't feel achy as much but still feel a bit congested...i am sure in a few more days i will ok, thank you!!

Today i have Christmas card for you and using one the fabulous stamp sets from Stephanie's shop Clearly Besotted, it's called 'Christmas Cheer' and i have also used the matching die set to which you can find here.


On my card i have used the traditional colours of red and green but with a modern twist of clean and simple...i am liking this style because of the cleanliness of it and they tend to be quick & easy to make which i love especially having 4 boys!!

We 3 Ships...

Its absolutely cold here in Hull today...it doesn't help the fact o/h insists on doing a bit of D.I.Y with the back door open, well he's in & out cutting wood so there isn't much sawdust in the house...yeah but what about the other mess you're causing plus i still full of cold...bbrrrr shut that ruddy door!!
It's alright me and boys are all going to my parents soon for our Sunday roast dinner....mmm looking forward to that one, well i aren't cooking am i!! {for a change!!}
